Project Background

Integrated Watershed Management Programme (IWMP) is located in District Katni,Block Badwara of Madhya Pradesh State.The project is a cluster of 04 Micro watersheds with their respective codes.
The total project area of watershed is about 5000 hectare of which 5000 hectare has been undertaken to be treated under integrated watershed management programme (IWMP-1) starting year 2010 The nearest town is Katni, which is about 25 Kms. away from the target cluster / villages and is well connected by pucca road.
The project area lies in edge of hilly area, which is near to Bandhavgarh National Sanctuary.
